Need help finding abrasives...

I aquired a used Transpower DB600 Contour Sander.

It uses a pneumatic drum for the contour sanding. While the guy I bought it from gave me all his unused belts they are separating at the seam almost immediately, I know for a fact they are about 20yrs old.

Anyways, im looking for replacement belts but they are are unique size:

9" wide x 13.5" or 13.75" long

I found two places but wondering if there is anything else out there?

They've been making up the 3" x 27" belts for my 1939 Porter-Cable belt sander for the last couple decades - great people to deal with.

Well that was entirely to easy! Called, asked a few questions about best solution, got solid informative advice, placed a order.

All for almost 1/2 the price of what I found online!

Glad it worked out.
I am assuming from your "location" there you mean "Northern California", right?
One thing I've learned about ordering belts:
Don't go crazy and "stock up", because they seem to have a limited shelf life when they're stored in a garage here in Western Washington with temperatures fluctuating between freezing and about 90 degrees in mid-summer, and dry-as-a-bone to everything-dripping-wet humidity during the winter.
I've put brand new belts (that have been stored for a couple years) on that sander and had them blow all to pieces on me in less than a minute - it ain't the fault of the belt - it's my fault for not storing them in a place with a more constant temperature and humidity level - but that wouldn't be possible here, so I just try to keep the orders down to "as needed".

Just my two cents on that one.

Glad they were able to help. I've had really good luck dealing with them - even on stuff neither of us thought was going to work, like some #16 grit belts they made up for me so I could grind down end grain on 4x4 fence posts!

Excellent point about old stock. I suspected the adhesive was going bad on these older belts. We went through 6 belts for 30 pcs, which is not OK.

It was great to chat with someone, he got all worked up about people overselling "better" abrasives like silicon carbide or zirconia. In my application opening up the grain wasnt going to happen so using a more expensive abrasive wouldbe have been a waste of money.
