I have had a Milwaukee corded sawzall for about 10 years. It's always been difficult to get the sawzall to hold the blade. The blade seats all the way, but the male portion in the reciprocating head of the saw does not appear to fit into the female portion of the blade. I can usually get it to work if I fiddle with it for a bit but the last time I pulled it out to use it, I was unsuccessful.
If I can take apart the reciprocating head, I suspect I would find that the male portion is a bit mushroomed at the end for some reason. And I could then file it down. But in taking a look at it, I didn't see how I would be able to remove or disassemble the head. Any ideas here?
I guess I could drill out the female portion of all my saw blades, but that sounds like a pain in the ***. I'd rather fix the tool.
Also, it looks like the Milwaukee warranty is 5 years, and I've definitely had this for longer than that.
Thanks,
Scott
