First, I know nothing about bearings...after being lost in a sea of configurations I need a bit of help.
I am refurbishing a standard 16 1/2" Delta drill press and putting a VFD/3ph motor setup on it. While I have it all apart I want to replace the stock bearings which are still in decent condition but not the best I am sure. They are:
(3) NTN 6205Z
(1) NTN 6203Z
I am looking for the QUIETEST bearings that are appropriate for something like this. As long as all four bearings total no more than $100 or so I am fine with that. The OEM ones would be that much and I know they are not as good as aftermarket ones...just need to know which direction to go.
It was suggested to me today to use hybrid bearings? Even if this is a good way to go, still need an appropriate configuration. Looks like these are super expensive though.
Oh, probably want to stick with Japanese bearings or something of pretty high quality if possible.
