I have the first generation of titanium IR impact guns both in 3/8" and 1/2" sizes. I've had them maybe 12 years. I had a thread about fixing my 1/2" that died a few months ago and it ended up needing a rotor. At $80 it's been on the back burner to be rebuilt in the future and I just put a new Snappy 1/2" on my account.
I'm removing a bolt to a side engine mount last week and when I let up on the trigger the trigger literately explodes out the front of my 3/8" gun and disappears under the car.
I find whats left of it and it's broken about in half. It has a plastic shank that hooks to the valve inside the gun. That part is MIA. I pulled the valve assembly out of the gun and it's gone. Had the tool guys all looking for a trigger but all I seem to be able to get is the same trigger with a bigger shank. It's a hair too big of a bore to get it to slide into the guns housing. One dealer said the newer models have an improved thicker trigger shank than mine.
So what I need is the older model skinnier trigger. Anyone run into this???
I don't want to order it online 4 times before I get the right one.
I believe it's a 2115 TI model but I can no longer tell since the stickers have long worn off.
