I need to replace this grease zerk on my old Gravely but I am not sure what thread this is. It does not look like 1/4-28 threads. Thanks

An experienced parts store counterman may be able to identify the thread. If in doubt buy several similar sizes from the parts store and try them without forcing. They are not expensive. The proper one should spin right in if you have not messed up the threads. Keep the leftovers in your toolbox.

The old one came right out so if I have the correct one, it should screw right in. I will bring it to the store with me and see what I come up with. The crazy thing is that I am rebuilding some old Gravel spindles. One of them has this zerk which looks like a 1/4" and the other two spindles have what looks like 1/8".

Id suggest saving yourself time and trouble by investing the $9.99 or whatever theyre up to now and buy an assorted "kit" of them with different angles and sizes of zerks. Zerks are like cotter pins and O-rings IMHO, not worth buying onesy-twosy as the kit will pay for itself after 5 or 8 zerks, and if youre like me....every time I buy a ball joint, tie rod end or machine with zerks, theyre never at the right/easy angle to reach with a grease or oil gun.

One of those kits is on my list, one trip to town will pay for the majority of it, not counting my time.
