These have been sitting in a bucket in
my Paw-Paw’s barn for many years.

alignment pins of some kind is my guess. Or pins that lock out movement or a select a setting. Belaying pins in sailing are quite similar. They come in wood and metal.

I’m posting another picture, the wooden pins have two holes and show discoloration like something was bolted on them…

as an after thought, the pin in your photo on the left appears to have rope marks, then the figure eight loop.
