Need help identifying use of odd pliers and puller

I recently picked these up at a garage sale but am having issues identifying what they would be used for.

The first is a Giller USA pliers. Looks standard enough - except for the odd cutouts on the jaws.

The other is a Diamond Edge combination puller/hammer? But at only 8" long and relatively light I cannot imaging what you would do with it, other than driving small tacks in balsa wood.

Any thought on what these are used for?

I can't remember what that exact name is, but the pliers are used for removing spring style hose clamp (otherwise known as those annoying things that shoot across the shop)

The pliers are for the spring style hose clamps as already mentioned I always called em effin maytag clamps. I got my first pair of those pliers last summer and have used them 5 or 6 times already handy as sliced bread.
The other tool I thought might be an old school brake spring tool but thats a wild *** guess

I've seen similar small hammer/nail pullers that were designated for cherry crate construction.

The puller just looks like a old school brad/finishing nail hammer/puller.

The pliers look like an old school hose clamp pliers like these.

Those are Corbin hose clamp pliers. The other tool is probably for opening produce crates. Worked in a grocery store for a while. The produce guys all had a little hammer/prybar combo tool.

I think they are both Uppolstrie tools. Pliers for working with springs and rings and the others are obvious.although I do have an old pair of blue point snap ring pliers that have a similar tip

Thanks for the information. I have used the swivel tip type hose clamp pliers in the past but this version I had not seen before. In regard to the hammer/puller combo, what surprises me is how much trouble they went to to thin it out so that it weighs nothing. Use in a supermarket for produce crates is a possibility.
