Need help IDing a combo vise/anvil

I picked up this old vise/anvil combo years ago. I finally have a space to put it up and want to restore it. Before going there I'd like to get a proper identification so I can refinish it as close to original as possible as well an just to know a bit more of it's history. I have taken it apart hoping for some markings but all I could find was a patent date which is not quite legible(might have better luck once I remove the multitude layers of paint. So anyway here are the beauty sorts and let me know what you can come up with

Kobushi, This appears to be one of the anvil vises patented by W E Canedy, No. 184,503 See link below.

Canedy also had two other patents for the same type of vise. Numbers 225,563 & 426,362. He may have had others, but If so, I don’t know what they were.

It is extremely close with a few details off (no removable jaws, screw assembly is reversed and the screw and mounting bolt position are reversed)

Patent 380,019 seems to be closer for the jaw/screw part but pat 184,503 is pretty much spot on for the anvil part.
