Personally the one from Lowes looks like it would hold up better. Looks stronger, and I like the 3 drawer set up on it, (I like the long drawer). That would be my pick out of the two. Let us know which way you go with your choice. Good Luck

I would go with the Kobalt, but I am partial to SS. But it also has more drawer space, looks like a nicer power strip with the usb outlets.

the seville is very light duty. similar to harbor freight workbench. the kobalt is decent for the money as long as you buy the stainless one. the black one is not nice at all. drawer slides are horrible.

on another note, if you need something lighter for the house, lowes is doing an in store clearance of a one drawer workbench for 79 bucks. its lighter duty than the stainless one listed, but its not terrible by playing with it in the store.

I received the Kobalt bench as a gift when I bought my house. It isn't very heavy duty at all. The drawer bottoms can't hold much weight without sagging and the work surface has chipped a few times. If you don't plan on putting much weight in it and you're not very hard on your work surface, you'll be okay.

When looking at the Seville, I am attracted by the thickness of the wood top and the fact that items can be hung off the corners using c clamps (not sure if I would ever need to do this). The kobalt does have that third drawer and it looks great. Whichever unit I go with, I plan on mounting a vice onto it.

Yes, the gladiator stuff is nice, but still need an all in one bench, vs what looks like a kitchen table.

The Lowe's link won't click through (at least with Firefox browser I'm using) . .
. . . if your proposed bench at Lowe's is this . .
Item #: 538510
Model #: 3DSSWM2013

Then it's nice looking stainless steel for $229 right now.

Be sure to print off some 20% off and 25% off coupons from the Harbor Freight thread and ask Lowes to "price match" and accept the discount on one item. Worse case scenario get one of the 10% off moving coupons from Post Office that are for Lowes.
