Ok, I know this may seem real basic to most of you but I want to make sure I am hooking this up right, I am not the most knowledgeable about compressors. I have an IR 5hp, 80 gal compressor and want to hook up a moisture minder auto drain valve. As I understand it I should hook this up to the unloading valve. When my compressor shuts down it vents the air out a valve next to the pressure switch. Do I take off this valve and hook my line up to that port? My concern is that the pressure never vents off then, it just stays in the line for the moisture minder, and the next time the compressor starts it is not unloaded. Maybe I am supposed to hook into a different spot. Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't know anything about these really, but I was under the impression that they replaced the drain valve under the tank. :dunno:

Hopefully someone with actual experience will chime in soon.

yeah thats it, I will call on monday. I know I need to drain the water from the bottom but the input signal comes from the unloading valve. I think I need to install a T at the pressure switch.
