Picked up my air handler, I am getting ready to wire it up and plumb it for a heat pump.
A pro will be coming to add the refridgerant for the H/P at a later date. For now I am just trying to get all the wiring and plumbing in the walls and stubbed out so I can cover them up.
Some basic terminology questions:
What are the copper lines (1 insulated about 1" in diameter, the other about 1/4" that run from the unit to the H/P) called?
Electrical Questions:
My current home unit has 3-60 amp breakers (heat strips, A/H, and H/P). With the Trane I only see the need for two as the 10kW heat strips plug into the main harness for the Air Handler itself. Is that correct?
All I need to pull to from the box to the Air handler is 10-2?
Box to H/P 10-2?
Thermostat Wires:
Pull thermostat wires from the H/P to the A/H, and from the thermostat to the A/H?
Also on that, my home unit has a central "honeywell" box that all the wires feed into, some type of circuit board, is that necessary?
