Looking to pickup a used Drill Press off Craigslist and found this one;

Craftsman Model 137.229150 15" Floor Standing Drill Press. This will be my first drill press and intend on using it with mainly wood and light metal work.

According to the Manual I found its;

1HP (Max. Developed)
12 Speed (250-3100rpm)
5/8" Chuck
3 1/8" Spindle Travel *Quill*

He was asking $320 for it, states hes the original owner, and has had it roughly 10 years... from the pictures and description it looks to be in immaculate condition. I wanted to know what you guys thought I should offer him.

Here's the actual manual;

I'd say at about half that price it would be a good deal. At that price, not so much.

I sold a Craftsman similar to that one last year for $150 and thought I got a good price for it. Found an old Delta to replace it for $40 from a friend of mine.

Keep looking, especially at his asking price.

Ended up offering $100, and his counter offer (and last) was $300.

What do all of you think a Delta 17-959L is worth?

I have someone who claims its brand new - never used and willing to do $375

Can someone answer my question;

Is $375 a good price for a "new" Delta 17-959L
