Need help - rounded step at garage entry

It's my first post here but I love reading through all the forums as I've learned so much.

We have a new construction home in Lawrence, KS. I have two separate garages which are both attached to the house. One is a regularly shaped 2 car garage approximately 23' x 22' that my wife parks in and we use to store all the kids stuff. The other garage is "my" garage and is a single car with an L shape and extra deep (12' x 27') that I also use as my work area. Each garage has a separate entry into the house.

I'm getting ready to do the floor in each garage and have debated doing tiles vs epoxy. I'd really like to do tiles like racedeck or truelock hd in my garage/work area but my problem is that at the entry door the contractor poured a "bump" step. I've attached pictures but it's kind of hard to see. It's about as wide as the door and raises up about 1 1/2" to 2". I've never seen anything like this before but I bet some of you have!

My problem is that tiles are not going to lay flat over this area so I'm going to have to either try to remove it or maybe go with epoxy??

Any advice you may have is much appreciated!

Hi
If you use tiles like you mentioned or our solid PVC SupraTile (much quieter to walk on than hollow tiles) we recommend that you epoxy the step area. We include n/c for Forum members epoxy to cover these areas in your color choice.

Thanks for the response. Do you think that supra tile could be laid over this bump? It's hard to see in the pictures but it's a very gentle slope.

Yes, since they are flexible, and not hard like common polypropylene tiles they conform nicely to floor undulations.

In the unlikely event that the tile doesn't connect well at that spot, a bit of Loctite adhesive under the joint will solve the problem.
