Hello -
I am in the process of installing my 75k btu Beacon-Morris Garage Heater using Natural Gas. My gas line is of 3/4 size and about 100 feet from the gas meter. My question is: Do I need to install a gas pressure regulator? If yes, what kind or type? Beacon-Morris Manual says that the supply inlet pressure should be 14.0" w.c max and 5.0" w.c min, I have no idea what this means. :headscrat
Please help :)
Here is a link to the installation manual: http://www.beacon-morris.com/modules/lit_lib/download.asp?litFileID=1670

Based on a chart I found, 100' of iron pipe can handle about 79 CFH, which is roughly equal to 79K BTU. My residential pressure is 6 " w.c. ( water column). You can call your gas supplier, and they can tell you what your pressure is supplied and regulated to, and if it can be increased. Assuming you have nothing else on that same gas line, it sounds like it will be close. There are sizing charts out there, so be sure to confirm the above #, since you will also have some pressure loss.
