looks like the HF has only 4 heat ranges while the eastwood has 8.

Watch craigslist for a Miller or Lincoln. I picked up a Miller 135 for 250 bucks it was from a pawn shop who had listed it on craigslist. Pawnshops are great places to buy tools.

Who makes the Eastwood one? Looks a bit like the Northern 135 which has reviews for problems with the wire drive, which is basically the only moving component in any wire feed and the most likely to fail. I'd be careful, off brands are hard to service.

I have to agree about CL - 110V wire feeds come up used all the time around me (and I'm in a small area) for $100 to $300. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a used Lincoln, Miller or Hobart if it works fine and doesn't look beat to hell.

+1! You can also find Lincoln stick welders on CL regularly for $125-$175. IMHO the used Lincoln, Miller, Hobart would be waaaaay better than what you're looking at new. Good luck!

+1. A good, used welder would be my first choice as well.
