Hello guys, I'm thinking of wiring a homemade pressure washer I built several years ago.
I had a Baldor L3708T laying around and decided to make a pressure washer with a CAT pump I bought for it. The specs on the motor are:
5HP
23A
I've got a CuttlerHammer GFCI breaker (I think it was intended for a hot tub or spa) as a "switch" mounted on the unit.
I don't have a magnetic starter, but have thought about adding one. Would I just hardwire the magnetic starter with a simple 120/240V switch? Do I even need the GFCI breaker?
Northern Tool has 2 different 5HP P.W. One says it must be hardwired the other has a plug. 6-30P?

I thought the "corrent" way of wiring 5HP motors is to hardwire them per reading posts. I've been using an extension chord plugged into my NEMA 6-50R that I use for my welder.
