Found 1 full size sheet and a 1/2 sheet of stainless steel metallic formica in the trash at work. Of course I grabbed it, but I can't think of any good ideas for it..... Anyone have any ideas out of the box?
That would make a great background for a cool garage sign. Play around with some fonts and names, then have a vinyl shop print it up. Then glue the Formica on a piece of plywood, route out a cool but simple shape (like an oval). Stick the vinyl text on the sign....voila' - a cheap, cool, custom sign for your garage.
OR you could use it to face some cabinets. That would look good.
If its not too much of a hassle to store, you can use it to protect your folding bench surface when using it...stow it away when not in use so you can keep your bench white. Nice sign BTW!
Just cut it close to size for any open shelf and lay it down before loading up the shelf. It makes it a lot easier to clean and move stuff around-especially at the price you paid.
When I was a kid my grandpa made me a sled from particle board and "formica" <brand name>. That thing was heavy to pull back up the hill, but damn was it fast. It went further than all the other sleds too.
