I’m in the middle of a two story addition. The first floor is a 30x26 addition to a 26x26 existing garage and the second story is living space. I'm installing Mitsubishi mini splits (ductless system) for the living area (two zones). Should I install a third zone in the new garage addition?

I’m going to have a vinyl curtain between the old and new garage but the mini split will only be 12000 BTUs for 780 square feet of space 9 feet in height. The garage will be well insulated. I don’t see the garage needing to be more than 50 degrees when I’m working in it but I’m worried about the cost. I have natural gas in the house so I was going to install a Mr. Heater Big Maxx but it would be nice to have air conditioning in the summer.

Is there a discount if you buy the third zone now? If not or if the discount is low, I'd say just wait and see if you need it later.
