I picked up this anvil for $20. it has a logo on the side but it's almost obliterated. It looks like it may be a diamond shape logo and I think I can see a a couple of the letters. Its about 80lbs. there are a few numbers stamped into the base as well. Do these mean anything?

Thanks

Agree with ssdave, I believe it's a Trenton anvil. A Google search should provide you with an ample information about your anvil. It goes way back to The Trenton Vise & Tool Works, as well as The Van Wagoner & Williams Hardware Co, The Columbian Hardware Co. and The Columbus Forge and Iron Co.

I feel a little vulnerable to start collecting a few anvils and Trenton would certainly be on my list. Nice find!

Here is an 82 pound Trenton that recently sold on eBay for $365
There’s a good chance somebody paid big bucks for shipping on top of that.

Jeez I thought the value might be way down on mine because of the damage around the pritchet hole and hardy hole but that one looks about the same. Is Trenton up there with Hay Budden and Mouse hole forge as far as quallity? Ive heard of those before but not Trenton.
