Need help with changing PVC section

I’m looking to change a pvc section of pipe. It’s too short by a couple inches. What I need to do is change a section of pipe on a T fitting. It has gray colour adhesive.

Is it under pressure,or just some kind of drain?

Depends on which piece. Cutting pipe and adding another tee might give you what you need. Then plug the center of tee.

Cut and add another piece and two couplings. Very easy. Get pvc cleaner and glue

The grey glue is usually heavy duty not really needed in your application.

You might get away with cutting the pipe at an angle and using a coupling to join the two sections. The amount of out of square you cut the pipe will effectively lengthen by double. that is if you cut the pipe 1" out of square it will extend the pipe 2".

Because it is apparently the exhaust on a high efficiency furnace there will be no real pressure in the line.

I have used this trip to lengthen water lines to lawn sprinkler valves.

The pipe looks too small from picture for furnace exhaust. As said earlier could be condensate line but why the T. What size pipe is it?

My guess is definitely condensate drain. And one is the furnace and the other is from the AC coil. It done all of the time.
