Need help with Craftsman air grease gun

I have a Craftsman air single shot grease gun that someone gave me, but it is missing the piece that the hose screws into. Mine is very similar to the picture below, but a little older. If you look where the hose screws in, there is a fitting there. Mine doesn't have the fitting, just the threads in the black housing of the gun, which are for the fitting, not the hose. The fitting is basically a reducer.

Just curious if anybody might know where I can get the fitting, or if anyone knows the size and thread pitch of both ends so I might find something usable at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. ?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Billymade.

I couldn't find a listing for the gun on the Sears parts site.

My experience with specialty commercial parts houses are that they don't want to waste their time searching for an obscure $0.79 part. But I will go that route if I have to.

I was hoping I could just find some type of generic union/reducer at a hardware store if I could find the right size/thread pitch. I may just have to take both pieces in there and try to find something.

After doing some research, it appears that most of the standard grease hose ends are 1/8" NPT. I'm willing to bet it is just a 1/4" male NPT to 1/8" female NPT bushing/reducer.

I think I'll pick one up today and try it. I had searched for this before with no luck. I guess I just needed to say it out loud. (Or type it on a public forum.) :)
