The 1960 catalog number was 9 M 4474 for the ratchet adaptor. So model 4474. I don't think there are any re-build kits, but someone else may know better.

I've never had mine apart, so I can't tell you the likely culprit for any problems. Have you flushed it out to remove any grit or hard grease ?

Yes I disassembled it for cleaning and re-lubing when I noticed a chip on 1 of the teeth of the paw.The paw is just about identical to the one in my 1/2" =V= ratchet all but the one for the adapter has a perfect circle hole drilled in the center.thank you for giving me a number that's a start for me.

You could try keeping an eye out for a donor unit. Something rusted up that isn't worth restoring. The innards may still be useful.
