Need help with installing Hot Dawg heater

I bought a new Hot Dawg heater, I need a vent kit, I plan on running it straight out the wall, I have the HD75. I went to my local heating and plumbing store and they were absolutely no help. I really want to get it installed. Is there a kit that I can buy?

Also, what is the best way to mount it? I don't have drywall on right now so that should help.

If they didn't sell it to you, they are not inclined to helping, because they didn't sell it. The other thing is that they are not inclined to helping you install a chimney, since they don't want to assume the liability that would go with the install, if something were to go bad.

You need to vent it straight up...unless it is specifically labeled a DIRECT VENT. If you have to go horizontal, it must have rise (more than 45 degrees at all times) AND if you do, for every foot horizontal, you must terminate with vertical 4' for every foot horizontal.

Otherwise, route a double wall pipe (dura vent or Amerivent brands) up through roof and weather seal outside.

Gas is simple...should be self explanatory.

Usually hung with una- strut and all thread. Some have mounting feet, if so check the clearance specs before lagging or bolting it up.

Hot Dawgs are rated for vertical vent .
There is not a kit per sai as far as I know, You have to buy each pc separately. I looked onto horizontal vent with mine but in the end vertical made more sense and was a lot cheaper

OP, read the venting requirements section of your install manual for the type and size of vent pipe. A tape measure will tell you what lengths of vent pipe you'll need.

Hot Dawg can be mounted directly to the underside of the ceiling, of course to framing members behind the drywall, or it can be hung below the ceiling. Only you know which is best for your application.
