Hello guys,

really need your help or advice on my new house / garage layout.
I'm having my new house build and it will be my first. Time to get a real garage I always want :bounce:

In the picture you can see layout of my house and garage I'm planing, front is where the road is. The space between the house and garage is about 2.5 m (~8ft).

Garage will be 7X6 m (23.3X20 ft) with reinforce concrete floor and pole, ceiling will be ~ 10 ft. And with how they build things here, it needs additional pole between 7m span. So it comes out as in the pic. It will be for a car, a bike and maybe one more car in the future.

23X20 is as far as I can put it in my available land, maybe a bit bigger can be done but it will look too big compare to the house and leave no yard around.

I space center pole to get 3 and 4 m spaces. The plan is to be able to park 1 car in 3 m space and another car can be park in 4 m space.
The work bench and all the cabinet will be on the right hand side (house side) of 4 m space or more near top right corner.
Bike can be work in this work bench area or area between 2 cars where the center pole is.

This is what I plan for now I don't know if it will be really ok in real usage.
So any comments or opinions on the layout? or any better ideas?

pv, it all depends on how you use the space you have! i also have a small shop to work out of, i have to be creative to get every inch out of it. being orginized also helps, little d.

ps. check out the 12 gauge shop, some damn good use of space.
