Need Help With New Old Heater

Hey guys and gals. I acquired this heater from my inlaws for free. They were moving and the garage was already heated. It looked like it was wired with 220 but I am not sure. Can someone give me some advice on how to wire it? Do I need anything special? My garage is a two car with 19 foot ceilings and the house is new so the electrical panel should be able to handle it. I am just going to use it when I am working in the garage and I will not have it on all the time.

Its a single phase heater and it was run on 220 if it was in a residence.

It looks like you will just need to mount it and power it up.

Looks to have a built in thremastat.

I noticed on the sticker is says "208 and 240". So a 220 line should be ok?

It will run on a 208, 220 or a 240 single phase line. Most equipment like that can be "Hard Wired" but, is best if you install an outlet where you are going to mount it and wire a plug to the heater. A Twist lock 220 VAC 15AMP would work great.
1 hot leg 110 VAC ("A" leg from panel)
1 hot leg 110 VAC ("B" leg from panel)
1 Ground leg
use at least #10 wire.
gives you 110 Volts from each leg to ground and 220 from hot leg to hot leg.
Your good to go.
Good luck and stay warm!
