Need help with subpanel install

I want to add a 60 amp subpanel to my detached garage that is only 7 feet from my house. I was thinking of using 6-3 Uf-b wire my question is there a better way would thwn wire be a lot easier to use or any other ideas ( I can get the uf-b at 1.75 per foot )

If you only need 60A then the UF is fine and can be direct buried. THHN/THWN needs to be in conduit.

If you can get 6/3 UF @ $1.75/ft then that's definitely the cheapest way to go. Make sure you bury it to 24" below grade, and protect it down to burial depth with conduit.
