I **** at Sketch up, trying to expand my house. Want to expand my garage and master bedroom which is behind my garage. Go to a five foot easement making my RV gate to a single pedestrian gate. Extend the height of the garage to the same 16ft peak like the rest of the house. Garage door will go from 20ft wide to about 28ft wide but want a 10ft high door. Can someone take this photo and modify it for me. I’d be happy to pay for the help. Thank you again.

There used to be a place on line called Elance.com I think it is gone now, but you could hire exactly what you are asking for.

Hints (Only pay after each step is completed.)
  • Specify what you want. A 3D model, not building drawings.
  • Make it a multi-step project. First step, would be to model the current house. Removable roof, interior walls, doors and windows,
  • Next step, your expansion.

I would start with a piece of graph paper and draw, to scale, the 28 foot wide door that you want. Then find out what kind of header you have to have to span that width. Draw the header in above the 10 foot high opening. Next draw in the point that represents the 16 foot roof peak, centered over the door. Then draw in the diagonal roof lines and determine the slope and check to see if this is within code.

You can always change it later but, before going too far, I'd be looking at what you need to have a 28ft wide door.
