Hi everyone,

I am looking for ideas on how to make my garage a little deeper. Currently it is 20x24 with 24 being the width and 20 the depth. The garage door is on the eaves side, not the gable end. It has 10 foot ceilings with 2x6 walls and a truss roof. I cannot go to the rear or sides as it sits on the property line setbacks on one side and the rear, and borders the backyard on the other side. Does anyone have any pictures of similar additions they have done in the past? I am a visual person and I think seeing one that has been done would help me come up with some ideas. Thanks!

So you can only extend out the front? Then add a new building attached to the front, then tie in the roof of the new to the old. Hard for me to describe but it's basically an intersecting roof gable to gable that your going for.

I'm with Steve, I think that is the only way you can maintain reasonable ceiling height when extending from the eaves end.
