Saving my $ for radiant heat in my new garage. Its 30'X60'.I need to know what brand and type tubing in the concrete.I'm going to use 2" rigid foam under the slab. Steel mesh in the concrete. I've built for many years just never did radiant heat flooring. I was thinking of pumping the concrete unless to expensive so as not break the foam when wheeling the concrete. Any suggestions from experence would help. One last thing the garage is big with 2 16' doors on the 60' side so the work area will be to the left and the car storage will be to the right. The best way to zone this garage. Thanks Bob

barrier pex. all pretty much the same

heatinghelp.com, the wall

you don;t need to zone it, but you need to limit loop length

I have 3 loops of 1/2 od in a ~930 sq ft garage

larger tubing would be better.

Do yourself a favor and visit the Zurn website and request their design guide. Not the 80 page version but the 218 page version. It has all you will ever need to know in there. Please realize in order to design an effective and efficient radiant system, there are many things to consider. The temp. differential, the number and size of the doors and windows, amount of insulation and ceiling height to name a few. Once you've calculated your heat load, only then can you begin to design your system to include the number and size of the loops, the size of the expansion tank, the tubing layout, pump size etc. Yes, people will tell you "I just put ** feet of tubing in a ** sq. ft. shop. You don't need all that info..." and to be honest, I'm sure their system works. It just might not work as well as I could have if they had done their homework in the first place.

You are absolutely correct, but with the larger pex and the ability to vary the temp of the supply water, you have a great deal of ability to tweek your floor output. Most garages are not as fussy about floor temp or variance of room temp as a house would be.
