If anyone sees a truck in there area or uses one could you get me a price on a couple things? I am assuming it is cheaper then ordering right from there online catalog? or is the not accurate?

CFR158TM 1/2" 15" Drive 88t Ratchet, book says $155.70

Never had the chance to see any truck in person or talk to anyone as I am not in the field.

I am sure anyone could chime in about the prices from any of the Big 4 catalog vs. online

Thanks!

As a rule the prices are list meaning they are the exact same as online. Matco did have a couple 10% off 1 time use coupons for online orders and its free shipping over $200 or $250.

Thanks for helping me out w/ that. A friend can get 50% but when he gave me the price it seems high for half off. He told me a set of 3/8" drive metric universals was $210 or something and that seemed high for 1/2 off.

sounds about right, i was looking at a set of metric impact swivel sockets last friday and i think it was 500+, though that was for a big set, 8-22 or 24 mm i think. and 12 point (which im not crazy of anyway)

My student price is 74.43

It does seem alright being the Snap On equivalent is just a couple bucks more.

Typically Matco is the same as online. Some drivers I have seen add 10% some I have gotten a little discount from.

My Matco driver will give me a discount usually about 10%. All of his prices match the website as far as I know

I got mine off ebay for like $50. Great ratchet, but I wish I had gone longer, and locking flex... it's my only 1/2" ratchet, so versatility is great.

If you can get the 3/8" metric pinless set for $210, do it. Yes they're expensive, list price is stupid high. I paid a few bucks more for mine on a cash deal, and they're some of my most used tools.

I just made my own Matco 88 by getting the gearwrench equivalent and getting the Matco 88 internals and swapping the guts. Works like a charm. And spent a lot less. I think I spent about $155 for a 1/2", 3 3/8" and 2 1/4" ratchets and then all the 88 internals. Maybe about $200 all together. I think the internals for the 1/2" are about $27, 3/8" about $20 and 1/4" about $17.

My Matco guy is slightly above the internet price but I don't buy much from him as I have discount through the website.

Thanks for all the responses, my buddy uses SO for everything so he said anything Matco he would get me. I was questioning his pricing but from what you guys say and what he showed me today looks like he wasn't lying. May have to take advantage of this while I can!
