Need info about vtg stanley screwdriver

can someone tell me how good are vintage stanley push screewdrivers? (for use not for collection) also please tell me which brand was the best i know that they were made by some other firms too

I know people that love them and others that hate them. I have a Stanley and a Millers Falls(I think) and do not use either one as they cam out unless the screw is pretty lose.

If I remember right, the two digit numbered models don't have the spring in them, the three digit models do.

The Stanley and Miller Falls bit sizes match, but finding them is getting hard, buy them from Ebay or Stanley Tools parts webpage one you know the size. I only know of two hardware stores that still stock the bits.

I like the Millers Falls one's better, but that just me. and oil them every so often.
