I am going to build a detached garage. New hous with a 200 amp house panel that is full. I need to add a 100 circuit to the new garage - 75' from power riser on house.
I am guessing that I need to add a buss bar panel to branch to the new garage. I will investigate with the power provider, however, I wanted to have a better idea of what is in store before I contact the power company.
I intend to most of the work myself in order to save $$$$$. The construction is the easy part - just need to know the procedures for adding a new service from the existing power panel.
I have read thru many questions and comments and none address this particular situation.
