Hello everyone, I have a old Ferret RS-4 ratchet speeder, and I'm curious if the handle is removable or not? Are they permanently fixed by being crimped down? I know that some other tool manufacturers make them to be removable, so they can be replaced if need be. They use an expansion or retaining ring that allows you to pull the handle off given enough force. But I have heard by some that Snap-On makes their's permanently fixed? I can post photos if needed. Any knowledgeable Snap-On folks out there, the help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again!👍

I don't think any speeder handles were meant to be removed. Not sure if handles were repairable by a dealer.

Are you trying to clean it? Probably best to soak in transmission fluid if it's gunked or evaporust if needed.

Alright thank you 3baygarage, that's what I was thinking myself with this particular speeder. Yeah I was actually looking to replace it for another one in better condition. But it now looks like I may just leave it be...because short of destroying the handle, cutting it off...that would be the only possible way to remove it. Thanks again! -J
