Need input on modding used overhead doors to fit application

I have two overhead doors that I'm working on replacing. My 12w x 10h door NEEDS replaced. The 10 x 10 door could benefit from something different (I might be being too optimistic). Estimate for a new 12 x 10 door was going to be about $3k if insulated and over $2500 uninsulated. It's about a 4 hr round trip but there are are two 10w x 12h doors available used. Getting a 10x12 to fit in a 10x10 space seems pretty straightforward. I'm wondering if the "extra" parts from the excess height for these doors could be used to mod a 10x12 door into a 12x10 door. These pics are all I have for reference currently.

Taking 2ft off the top or bottom to shorten the door isn't going to give you anything at all usable to add 2ft extra width 12ft high. How would you scab an extra 2ft to the sides?

I see no way to ad width. Height can be changed in increments matching the height of the individual panels. Would you be willing to narrow the 12w opening to 10w?

I cut up some bent 16’ insulated door panels to make a 6x6 door for my mower shed.
While the insulation did give the narrowed panels some structure, there was nothing for the hinge screws to bite into, and I could not keep screws tight. I had to install multiple pop rivets in each hinge to keep them attached.CCF2BAC6-C13A-47E4-A2EF-1496D2705545.jpeg

So, in my experience, you can modify a door by adding or subtracting panels but do not cut, and don’t even consider widening a door.
