I have need of dust collection in my garage. I have a Ridgid vac with a Dust Stopper. I'd like to get one of the Mullet Tools dust collection systems. Does anyone have any experience with these? I'd use it above my TS, for my disc/belt sander, my hand sander, router and bandsaw.

Thanks!

I don’t have experience with that specific system.

But. My concern with shop vac type dust collection is that it doesn’t have the flow required for a lot of tools. I’ve had a true 1.5HP dust collector with 4” hose and it wasn’t enough for some tools.

So looking at the tool I’d expect it to work great with your hand sander. For the other tools it would really depend on how much sawdust and chips you are generating with the tool.

If you are limited by space or money, you might do better with this guy.

I have a Ridgid shop vac hooked up to a Dust Stopper cyclone that I use on my TS. This arm would be used for: above TS blade to get dust that comes out that way, router (hooked up with hose from router to arm), sander, (also hooked up with hose), belt/disc sander (place suction hood on arm next to where dust comes out or hook up to hose coming from dust port), bandsaw (hooked up to dust port), and belt sander (hooked up with hose).
I don't have room to run pipe or put a bigger DC anywhere. I do like the idea of a smaller DC as shown above; I can hook it up to the cyclone and get more flow. But, the pipes are 2.5", so it may not help.

I don’t know if this would be interesting to you or not. I have the 3” and would prefer the 4”.
