I have a 30 x 40 x 14 shop that needs the 8 foot t12 fluorescent lights converted to the drop in led lights.it has two rows of 4 light fixtures running the length of the building equal distance from wall.lights the shop up with no problem.ive read enough about lumens,4000k,5000k,wattage til I’m completely confused.i know I want 4 bulbs in each fixture but need recommendations on what spec lights would work.its a car shop and I would rather have too much light than not enough.only want to do this one time so any suggestions would be appreciated.

You need what's called a tandem kit. It changes 2 - 8 foot tubes into a 4 - 4 foot tube configuration. They are available so that you'll be able to bypass the existing ballast and use LED tubes. There are many different ones. Usually you'll get new sockets for each end and for the center (prewired) and 2 new channel covers. They're easy enough to use and not too expensive. Here's an example of one:http://techbrite.com/pdf/3550c075-634b-4dfd-aac4-78536bc43d43.pdf
Good luck,

Anything between 1700 and 2200 lumens. Most folks prefer either 4000k or 5000k, it's strictly your preference. Anything that's 80 CRI or higher. Watts isn't important anymore.
