Need metal teardown table

Need to build a metal teardown bench for engne/trans work. Looking at a working height of about 32 inches, width about 32, lenght 6-7 feet. Anyone got a drawing or list of materials to put this together with?

Will be putting this together with MIG and stick welder.

I've found some nice projects there. Don't know if there's a tear down table, but you should find something you can work with. Good luck and post pics!

i have built several out of angle. the top can be creased with a brake but it's much simpler to cut the top 1/4 to 1/2 longer than the table (depending on how steep you want the top) and let it bow into the frame for drainage. i will drill small holes in a 1" circle in the middle for drain that wont let small parts go through, then weld a piece of pipe to it so the oil will run into a 5gal bucket underneath. sorry i don't have any pics.

Just a suggestion, but considering the price of steel and your time, it may be better to look around for a manufactured table.

Not sure if it will help you any or even meet your needs, but have you looked into stainless prep tables from a resturant supply house? I just picked up locally, some SS shelves and an 8 foot long 30 inch wide 36 inch high SS table. Its solid stainless. Some of the cheaper tables are thin. This one took 4 of us to load onto a truck and I'll tell ya, it was HEAVY!! SO heavy infact that its still in the bed of the truck until I can find some more help.

Just a thought. I know its more fun to build your own. SOmetimes its just easier to buy one.
