Need more ceiling hight

Well I guess this is for the experts who have done it before!!!I got a deal on a lift but problem is my ceiling is 10 inches to low.I have howe trusses running across a 30 foot span.Has anyone done this,I know about the engineer deal will be seeing one in a couple weeks.Just wanted some input and maybe some pictures....

Thanks for the link cglasgow,but I think thats a little extrem for less than a foot.I think scabing or restructring trusses to a scissors or maybe better a chamdered style truss...
