This compressor is at least 30 years old, I never used it. It hasn't been used in 25 years but was kept dry and turns freely by hand. It is mounted on a heavy steel horizontal 30? gallon roll-around horizontal tank. It was powered by a 5 hp gas engine, engine dead now. It was used to air up tractor tires in the field.

Anyway, I want to find out if this is worth buying an electrical motor for it, and what voltage/rating/etc. would be a good match, and where to buy.

I have standard residential service, I assume it is single phase.

Thanks, SKip

I have one. I put a 5 hp Baldor on it. But i kinda wish I had gone with a 7.5hp. The 5 hp draws 23 amps so it depends on how big your service is.
Go on Ebay search weco supply. Good price, decent service.
