I'd like to replace it with a high quality lock. I lost the keys and now to get in I stick a screw driver in where the key goes and rotate the whole lock. I'm in in 1 second. There has got to be a better product out there. Do you know of any?
There really aren't many options out there. The most secure lock out there is a slide lock that mounts to the inside of the door that has a bar that goes through the track. The biggest downfall to that option is you have to have access to the inside when you want to open it. There are some slide locks out there that have a handle on the outside, although I have never installed one.
The only other option is a standard T handle type lock that has a locking handle on the outside with cables that go to either side of the door on the inside.
