Well you will be happy with it. Both the Jets and the Deltas are nice machines for the money. One suggestion would be to get a link belt though. It makes them run quieter as factory belts from most manufacturers are all crappy and squeek.

Got it yesterday and it rocks! I don't know what people were saying about the noise. Compared to other stuff in my garage, it's a whisper!
Thanks again to all!

Check the local paper. I bought a nice-*** drill press for 60.00 last month. It's an off brand, but has all the bells and whistles of the hi-end ones.

jason, He already bought one, Its a delta. Thats a hell of a deal on that drill press though. The only thing That concerns me is the lack of availability of parts in the future.

Out of curiosity, what name is on the head of that drill press?

Yes, I have a dial indicator etc. It'll have to been done a while from now tho. We're doing the windows on the house and everything in the garage is pushed to one side. And next weekend I'm in Vegas.

The name on the head is Delta.

Owen, i was askin jason about the name lol. But Whenever you get a chance, id like to know the runout on the delta and compare it to a jet. Id like to know which is more accurate, as 99% of my drilling is in metal, and metal isnt as forgiving as wood, you know how it is.

Thanks

So far so good! I need to get a tubing notcher now and Harbor Freight has two of them with basically the same specs, but one is $30 more. Anyone know why?

I'd rather have one with a 2.5-3" pipe capacity though...I should start a new thread...
