When I ran wiring for lights, I went for "overkill". Now that I'm putting up fixtures I'm rethinking things. As drawn, I have 13 4' T8 fixtures in my 2-car garage. Is that too much light? (Is there such a thing?) The horizontal fixtures are already up. They're on the main switch and are used for general lighting. My original plan was to have more lights on the sides of the cars for when I'm working on tires/brakes/etc.
My question is: If 8 more T8s is overkill, what other options are out there for lighting fixtures to provide light on the sides of the cars? I already have the wires run to these positions, so I'm looking for fixtures alternative to 4' long T8s. Or... are 13 twin 6500K bulb T8s "just right" for 550sqft of garage?
