Need Plumbing Advice for Sump Pump

I am adding plumbing to my garage which sits lower than slope to Septic.

Is there anything wrong with completing the buried uphill pipe continuing 2" ABS till it ties into 3" ABS with proper slope?

The rise is just my guess at something that will help with back spill - but i can turn 90 degrees lower.

You don't need the rise that high - what you are installing is called a force main which stays full of liquid. You install a check valve on the pump discharge (if there isn't one there already) so nothing drains back when the pump turns off.

Use a sweep tee where the force main joins the main line - you don't want any solids from your main line to lodge in the force main opening.

I have a Flotec E75STVT - the manual has me drilling a small hole near base in the pipe. I was puzzled how it wouldn't keep cycling and that was my idea for the riser.

I just now located the recommended accessory which is the Sewage Check Valve - Thanks for replying!!!

That small hole is drilled between the pump & the check valve. Its purpose is to help to clear air & allow the pump to prime. If it were after the check valve then it would allow backflow into the sump.

I read the checkvalve is best to be vertical vs horizontal - can it go inside the basin under the cover (is that where it normally goes?) or above for easier maintenance?

Very important to have check valve on horizontal. If not the solids will hold the flapper closed

I've maintained sewer lift stations since 2001 and I had all of the check valves vertical - they worked just fine - but they cycled often.

On the sump pumps I also put the check valves on the vertical and also have never had any problem.

Most I have installed or worked on have been vertical. Some down in the sump & some above depending on what is needed for the specific installation. Above is easier for service when possible.
