First, I did a fair share of scouring numerous threads to attempt to find this for myself.

Couldn't find it, so I need your help.

A racer friend of mine, uses these for his team and loves them. They aren't name brand, he bought them in a Michigan swap meet.

He's looked everywhere on the tool, and can't find any marks or brand names.

So, I bet him $20 that my friends at Garage Journal could ID these.

Any help you all can provide would be appreciated.

Jason

They look like a Gearwrench, but I have a hard time thinking that a MAC bar went for $25 each at a swap meet.

None the less, I'll look into it.

I bought a Mac with the old translucent handle in like new condition for $15 at a shop auction. Flea marketers, and swap meters don't all price stuff at retail, just the ones that don't want to sell stuff.

Where are you guys seeing Gearwrench that look like these? I googled but found nada....

More based upon the handle colorization, than anything else.

I bought a Mac with the old translucent handle in like new condition for $15 at a shop auction. Flea marketers, and swap meters don't all price stuff at retail, just the ones that don't want to sell stuff.

Well, I did some digging and they may be Mac after all. Mac had a set that were styled damn close to what we're seeing in the picture- and then it was redesigned.

I think we've gotten an answer on this.

Thanks!
Jason

CPB4R would be my guess for the set in dave's post but the newer versions have MAC on the handles.

the mac all ways had red stripes into the base of the handle where the set pictured in OP's doesn't and they would have the part number some where on them.

T&E tools has a set that looks similar to the first post but they have the name on the handle and bar in all the pics I could find online.
