I've had Snappy, Craftsman, Mac etc and never really had problems with any. I love my creeper seats though, best thing since sliced bread! I would just buy from wherever you can get a deal.

the more casters the more stable obviously.........adjustable height is a consideration too..........a seatback is nice too.......tool trays also make life easier........sometimes smaller is better if clearnce is an issue..........my own is some thing from costco for less than 20 bucks and is just fine............

Kreepstool and the Kreepster...

www.4tek.us

They are the Cadillacs of creepers!

I have been looking at the Kreepstool... but $200 is up there, and nobody in Canada carries it... kinda want to see it/try it then maybe buy it..

Going to be using it for working on bikes, that are on a Pitbull lift, and right now I have a crummy wooden stool, that has no rollers and is painful to spend more than a few minutes sitting on.:wtf:

I got one of those craftsman ones that look like the hf that rick just posted.

For 25 bucks its really not bad.

I really have no need for a $200 creeper. The racedeck makes pretty mych any of them sorta hard to fly across the garage on.

So, I got the cheapie. Works well though

I have the Kreepstool and love it. I picked it up at Costco for around $70 well below the retail price of $180. I have Race Deck flooring in my garage and this stool rolls easily, plus it has good storage compartments.

I also have the Good Year one from Sam's Club. I don't use it everyday as someone in the business might do. It is heavily made and very stable when leaning for tools or parts. Nice size wheels that rool well on concrete. Don't remember how much I paid but I think it was around $40 which i think is a good value.

Sears had theirs on sale before Christmas and I bought one. It looks exactly like the Harbor Freight one listed above. It hasn't made it to my garage yet because in the winter I spend more time in my wood workshop in my basement. I've been using it a lot in the basement, and now I want another one for the garage because this one might not ever make it to the garage.

Ah for me i just use a piece of carboard if ime on a gravel surface if not i just use nothing.

I would personally recomend building your own just buy some casters an weld up some angle iron an stuff. Ive seen plenty of them and they all seem like cheap ones out of lil square tubing that wont last 2 years

Reviving an old thread!

I am in need of a new creeper seat! I can't find anything out there that really catches my eye. I was looking into the creepstool but it looks like it is no longer sold. I want something sturdy with nice casters.

What is everyone using? If I can't find anything else I will probably get the snap on one that you can get in camo.

Not sure how tall of one you're looking to get this maybe to short, but my in-laws bought me this for Christmas. The Husky Heavy Duty rolling shop seat from HD. Much more comfortable than trying to kneel while cleaning motorcycles or wrenching. I like the spot for tools or rags and I put a magnetic tray on it to hold the bolts.

Well I had to craftsman version of the round one and the seat has broke off the piston. Not the wood either, the metal actually split all the way around the top. Its like sitting on a teeter totter now.

I have a Ranger rolling seat that is still in the box. If anyone is interested, PM me and I'll ship it free to the lower 48 for $40.
