Needing 2" wide velcro strips (or roll) with sticky back. Wanting super sticky (tape) back as the 2 cheap brands ive tried didn't stick for long. Thanks in advance.

I have had good luck with the actual "Velcro" brand that Home Depot sells. I have never had a need for anything 2" wide but I probably have used a couple of rolls of the 1" or 3/4" and have never had it come loose.

Apply 3M VHB primer to your surfaces before sticking the velcro and you won't pull it off.In the 25 years I spent in display shops we've used 1000's of miles of velcro. 3M or Velcro brands only and the VHB primer was a game changer. If a surface is extremely porous we will use contact cement, but more and more it's VHB primer.

I have bought several dozen rolls of the 2" Velcro brand sold at home depot. It is very sticky and holds up well outdoors.

Surface prep matters. We use 3M dual lock to hold ballistic panels in some vehicles. The "velcro" is strong enough to react the force from a bullet. Its kick *** stuff.

OP has not even bothered to describe what material he is bonding to. Otherwise 3M Dual Lock.
Made a sunshade for the rear glass on a 2nd gen Prius. So no load to speak of but will be baking in the sun all day. Cheap hook and loop didn't last 2 weeks.
