Need recommendations for hand held shop light

My dad has always had the Craftsman "stick" shop lights. The hooks on them ALWAYS break and the length can make it difficult to get the light where you need it. So I'm looking to pick up a really nice shop light. I was thinking corded, LED and hand held (ie. small, not a huge stick). In my searches, I've found practically no "nice" shop lights. They all seem cheap and plastic. Can anyone recommend a really nice light that may work for him?

I have a Maxxeon Workstar 2000 light. It is expensive but very well built, offers numerous mounting options, rechargeable and illuminates the surface without those annoying light and dark shadow rings.

Most of our shop mechanics have them. They are cordless and plastic, but seem durable. Forget to turn them off overnight and they will still last the next day. Our SO guy sold them, but they are on Amazon for 2/3 the price. I have warrantied one through SO guy when it quit charging.

i use a Saber light. Nothing fancy just a good light cost @ $65. rechargable and cordless l.e.d.

Just get a regular shop light and put a 100w equivalent LED lamp in it. Much cheaper, smaller, corded and every bit as bright as those huge long stick lights.

Depending on the brand of cordless tools you have, they may have a compatible LED light. I use my M18 LED work light all the time, and in fact gave away my corded reel work light.

this is my go-to corded LED light. Gets into tight spots, very bright and never worry about touching a hot bulb.
