I have two separate floors that need to be coated. It's a total of around 750 sqft. I need a durable floor coating that can stand up to welding, grinding, heavy vehicles on jack stands, etc. I have decided to hire this job out. I do a lot of my stuff DIY but I want these floors to be right. So I am going to take the inexperience factor out of it. I need a installer that can take a look at what I have and make recommendations based on my needs.

I am located in Chatham County, NC so if you have any recommendations for or against any contractors from there or the surrounding counties, (Wake, Durham, Orange, Alamance, Randolph, Lee), please speak up.

Thanks Legacy and DCS for the recommendations. I am going to try and get these guys out next week for some bids.

Sounds like you'd benefit from a quartz floor.

Yeah, I started looking into that. Got one quote for $8.75 sqft. :eyecrazy: As nice as that would be, at $6000 + for the amount of floor I have, that would blow a big hole in my budget. I hope to get some info from these guys above about an MMA floor. If I have been informed correctly, it would be tougher than an epoxy or polyaspartic without the cost of the quartz. :dunno:

This is going in my attached garage and a small workshop and storage building. My attached garage is going to serve as my temp work space for a few years until I can afford to build a big automotive shop. So one option would be to go with an epoxy floor with a good topcoat and just haul my junk out into the driveway under a popup when I need to grind and weld.
