Need Recommendations for Wrench Sets

I would say any quality brand on combo wrenches. Proto, Wright, SK, Williams and even Craftsman raised pannel are decent, but the others I mentioned are better. Flares I would stay away from Craftsman and go higher end. Stubbies, I love my ratcheting stubbies...so much better than regular stubbies. Almost never use my regular length ratcheting wrenches but always for the stubbies. Since you do not put any real torque, in plain stubby wrenches even Harbor Freight is a-ok. High quality on stubbies is a complete waste IMHO. I always recommend used. If you going used then don't exclue snap-on. But new prices are silly for something like you describe.

I recommend Carlyle wrenches. Being able to handle a warranty exchange locally means a lot to me (though I haven't had to warranty any of the wrenches).
