I have a Generac DP6500 portable generator that I need a replacement tank for. I've already checked ebay, but the center to center hole measurements don't line up with what I've got. The ebay prices are excellent in the $30-$35 range, and I'll be damned if I'm going to pay $250 for a direct replacement from Generac. Does anyone have a good source for metal tanks that won't break the bank? My center-to-center dimensions on the holes in the tank flange are:

17-7/8" on the long side of the tank and 18" on the width.

If I can't find one that will fit, I'll make an adapter frame out of unistrut and attach it to the existing holes.

Thanks

Could you fix the tank? Obviously, if it's all rusted out that won't work, but small holes and similar problems are readily repairable in a steel tank.

I've got plenty of scrap unistrut, so if I can't find an exact size replacement, I'll build a frame that will work.
